This describes what onephysicist.com collects and who else sees it. It is written from the code of the site rather than from a template, so it describes what actually happens.

The site is run by Moonshot Operations sp. z o.o., ul. Grzybowska 87, 00-844 Warsaw, Poland, registered in the Polish National Court Register under KRS 0000914524, NIP 5272966765, REGON 389633330.

What you give me

  • Your email address, if you type it into the form on the site.
  • What you write in the quiz and in the chat: the exam you are sitting, the topics you find hard, the grade you are aiming for, and anything you send me in a message.
  • Nothing else is asked for. The site never asks for a card number, an address or a date of birth. Payment details are typed into Paddle, never into this site.

What is collected automatically

  • Your approximate location and language, worked out from your browser’s timezone, so prices can be shown in your currency and exams in a sensible order. This is read from your device; no location service is queried.
  • How you moved through the site: which pages, which answers, how long. This is recorded by PostHog and Datafast.
  • Whether you arrived from an advertisement, recorded by Google Ads.

Who else sees it

  • Paddle — takes the payment and holds the billing details you give them. They are the merchant of record, so they are a controller of that data in their own right.
  • Crisp — runs the chat window, so it holds the messages you send me there.
  • PostHog and Datafast — site analytics.
  • Google — advertising measurement, and the fonts the site loads.
  • ntfy.sh — sends me a notification when somebody gets in touch or books. These notifications carry an anonymous reference and your country, never your email address, because that channel is not private.

Nothing is sold and nothing is shared for advertising to other companies.

What is stored in your browser

The site keeps a few values in your own browser’s local storage so it can remember where you were: an anonymous reference for your visit, the answers you gave in the quiz, an unsent message so it is not lost, and whether a payment has been made. These stay on your device, are never sent to me on their own, and are cleared when you clear your browser data.

Adding ?notrack to any address on the site switches the analytics off for your browser and keeps it off.

How long it is kept

Messages and email addresses are kept while we are working together and afterwards for as long as it is useful to pick up where we left off. Analytics are kept by PostHog and Datafast under their own retention periods. Payment records are kept by Paddle for as long as the law requires them to.

Your rights

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to me through the chat on onephysicist.com and I will do it. For the payment records, the same request goes to Paddle, because they hold them.

If you are under sixteen, ask a parent to get in touch on your behalf.
